Ifthar Ceremony
As we couldn't get a school hall for the Ifthar Ceremony due to examinations being held this year. The Ifthar Ceremony was held at No. 15/32, 5th Lane, Weeramal Mawatha, Kohilawatte on 21/08/2010 and we are happy to stase that it was well attended. Dinner was served.
The Ifthar Ceremony at Mattegoda was held on 05/09/2010. This was well attended. Some of our Committee attended the Ceremony.
Bayans Ceremony
Bayans Ceremonies were held on 30/05/2010 and 11/07/2010 at Dharmapala Vidyalay, Kotikawatte and at Camila Hall, Mattegoda on 08/08/2010.
Ashura Ceremony
The Ashura Ceremony was held on 10th January 2010 at the Rajasinghe School Hall. Normaly Bayan Ceremonies, Religious discussions were held. More than 300 invitees attended the Ceremony.
Social & Other Activities
Distribution of Fithra
30 bags containing provisions were distributed to deserving members of our Association on 25/08/2010.
These were donated by MFCD and was coordinated by Sdr. T.S. Kamaldeen.
The organization of Bangsa Melayu engages with all activities in Social, Economical, Cultural, Fund Raising, Employment, Educational, Religious and Sports for the benefits of the Malay Community. As examples we are organizing ASHURA, BAYANS. IFTHAR Ceremonies, Sporto Rama Rally, Donations, Trips, Committee Meetings, Get togethers .......

Get Together at Mattegoda
The get together at Mattegoda was held on 28 January 2010. On their invitation Committee Members together with their family members attended the ceremony. Members and their families participated in various games organized. In the evening there was a "Peduru Party". Members spent a anjoyable day and returned to Colombo with pleasant memories.
